I choose bright colors because that’s what we need in the world right now. “By painting, I chose first to brighten my own life so I could then brighten the lives of others.”

Biography

To experience an ELBE painting is to live a moment of the artist’s exhuberant life.

The artist is Elena Berman. She signs her work ELBE.

Elena is energetic, exciting, complex–an introspective extrovert, you might say.

However, one word mostly defines Elena: passionate. Mostly happy, incredibly upbeat. Sometimes angry. Occasionally relaxed. (Afterall, the artist is human.)

But Elena is passionate–always passionate–in her life and in her art.

She is also genuine, perhaps the most powerful force in her art, as her paintings express exactly what she is feeling at any given moment.

When you glance at a painting signed ELBE you cannot look away. Drawn to the powerful strokes and colorful character, you feel the raw emotion of the artist.
